Hubert Luu M.D., M.S. is a resident in the UCSF General Surgery program and is currently spending two years as a research fellow. He performs research in the Warren Lab in pursuit of optimizing methods for isolating tumor-derived spheroids in hepatobiliary cancer. He also belongs to the Willenbring Lab at the Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine, where he aims to build a disease model for hepatobiliary insufficiency by harnessing human induced-pluripotent stem cells. His clinical research includes outcomes studies in multifocal HCC, colorectal adenocarcinoma, and abdominal sarcomas.
