Biography

Robert Jimenez, B.Sc. is a laboratory technician in the Willenbring lab at the Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California Davis in biotechnology. He trained in the lab of Dr. Amir Kol in the department of Veterinary Medicine where he studied induced canine pluripotent stem cells. His projects focused on studying the epigenetic mechanisms behind maintaining the pluripotent state in canine stem cells. In the Willenbring lab he is currently using mouse models to study how the mammalian liver regenerates. Robert is fundamentally interested in studying the molecular mechanisms behind tissue regeneration in mammals.
